A growing youth development philosophy shifts away from a focus on youth problems and deficits, toward a view of young people as resources with strengths and contributions to make. This 4-hour workshop (in two 2-hour segments) briefly and dynamically introduces the positive youth development approach to volunteers, supervisors, administrators, board members, funders and community members interested and involved in youth services provision in local communities.
