General Afterschool Information
The Gloria J. Parks 4-H After-school Program provides
· Homework assistance
· Tutoring
· Hands on science mentoring
· Art
· Academic enrichment
· Fitness, skill building and free play
· Chess instruction
· Reading enrichment through Literacy Volunteers
· Available care in early release days and school vacation days
Who: The program is open to students in grades 1 – 5, from Buffalo public, private and charter schools. Students must be or become members of the center.
How: Complete an application for registration or contact Marilyn Sozanski at Gloria J. Parks 832-1010, ext. 226.
Transportation: Students who receive bus transportation to school can select Gloria J. Parks as the drop off for their after school trip.
When: Monday – Friday, Arrival – 6:00/ Half day and full day care is available (when school is not in session) for a small additional fee
4-H After-school is a special focused effort within the 4-H Youth Development Program that helps 4-H and other youth serving organizations create and improve after-school programs in urban , suburban and rural communities across the U.S.
