On October 1st, 2009 we had our 2nd annual Fork It Over Fundraiser at the Butler Mansion on Delaware Avenue. Over 120 people attended the event and we raised over $11,000 to benefit programs at the Gloria J. Parks Community Center & Kensington – Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the following sponsors
Come Join us for the 2nd Annual Fork It Over event!
Just like last year, you’ll enjoy food and beverages donated by the area’s best restaurants and wineries, and live music donated by a talented local artist. So get a ticket, put on your best duds with a twist and stuff yourself full of the finer things. (Plus, how often do you get invited to party at a mansion? Now that’s an offer you can’t refuse.)
All proceeds benefit the Gloria J. Parks Community Center & Kensington-Bailey Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc.
On January 6th, 2009 the children of the School Aged Childcare program at Gloria J. Parks Community Center performed in a presentation titled “A Multicultural Holiday Pageant”
This wonderful presentation honored the various Cultural aspects of the Holiday Season.
This event is best epitomized by the following quote by Benjamin Disraeli:
“The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches, but reveal to them their own.”
So join us and share with the celebration presented by our children by watching the following presentation.
